This is an easy read about two cousins who love one another and, unfortunately, tend to move in the same circle. When one night of misbehavior by one of the cousins starts a trail of destruction in the lives of those around her, it's impossible to see exactly WHO is the victim?!! Is it Stephanie, who opts to love a married man? Is it Tiffany, who flirted heavily and wanted desperately to add this married man to her growing list of conquests? Is Amanda, who works for the man's wife and had sex with him in a drunken moment of impulse a victim? What about Melanie, the wife, who sends her handsome husband off with two drunk ladies, telling him to take them home, in spite of her prior knowledge of his infidelity? Everyone has a story, and everyone has justification for her own. Will anyone accept responsibility? Is forgiveness and healing to be found? The answers are all here. This is a pretty good read. It's redundant and drawn out near the end, but the storyline is well done overall.

Don't Tell Your Cousin edition by Veronica E Kelly Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
It was okay. I grabbed this one as a light fun read. From the title, I knew there would be plenty of drama and there certainly was, but after all the mess, the ending wasn't satisfying. I was left wondering what was the point? Why was everyone so hell-bent on being ridiculous for no reason?? Having said that, these characters were doing the most and held my attention just enough so I could see what mess they were gonna flop into next.
I did read the 2nd part because i need to know what happened. It just seemed that this author was all over the place--almost like she had a lot of different ways she wanted to take the story and wanted to keep all the ideas in.
Amanda and Tiffany are suppose to be friends but the way they speak to each other and they way they argue (cold cruel words)...i didnt understand their relationship.
Amanda and Stephanie are cousins. You think you know why makes their relationship so volatile until you read the 2nd book (I Should've Told Her) then the whole reason changes.
there was one part of the book that got really really good and made me keep going. but alas after that brief moment it went back to "stupid and unrealistic".
Because i cannot stand starting a book and not finishing or starting the first book and not reading the sequel, i continued to plow thru this book. However, after finishing i would not tell anyone this is a "must read" book.
This book was about cousins Amanda and Stephanie. Stephanie is involved in an affair with a married man who just so happens to be the husband of Amanda's boss. Amanda has not had good luck with men in the past, and thinks that it is horrible that she has to look at her boss everyday knowing that Stephanie is sleeping with him. Amanda meets a new guy and everything is looking up until one night after a party someone crosses the line and things are never the same between the cousins or Amanda and her friend Tiffany. The book was okay until this event occurred, what happened after is where the problem comes in. These girls were just so dumb and immature. No growth occurred in the characters and there seemed to be no conclusion to the story. If there ever was a second installment I would read it just to see if there is some type of conclusion to all the issues that these girls had. Poor Reggie and Melanie!
This book is very amateur. There were so many directions this book could have gone that would've made it an awesome story. This book is the type of book I used to read when I was a teenager, you know, sex and fighting and things that would make your mom have a fit if she knew you were reading. I started thinking about not even continuing this book because I knew before I hit the halfway mark on my kindle that I was through. But there was some small part of me hoping that maybe if I finish the book, it won't be as bad as it seems right now. I don't understand why everyone was ganging up on Amanda for sleeping with Mike, when Stephanie knew he wasn't hers from jump, and Tiffany knew she wanted him just as bad as Amanda did. Now, Amanda was like fake homeless for a little while and all because of what??? That didn't seem realistic to me. And Tiffany is super FAKE because friends don't do friends the way she did Amanda, unless your fake. And to add to all of the ratchetness, Stephanie wants to have a threesome. Not with his wife, which would have made the most sense for the ultimate drama, but with Tiffany's busted self. Why??? Had she wanted to do it with his wife, that would have made it clear that she wanted Mike and she was willing to ANYTHING, even sleeping with his wife, to keep him. Another problem I had with the story was with all of the stupid stuff Amanda kept doing. One minute, she's crying her eyes out saying her cousin didn't deserve what she did, but then you turn around and sleep with Mike for the second time, and then emails the dvd of the threesome (with Stephanie and Tiffany) to his wife. WHY????? It's almost like the author was trying too hard to get some drama going. I just couldn't digest it anymore. If I wanted to make things up with my cousin and friend, I wouldn't be doing malicious things to try and get back at them for stupid stuff. Nobody is a victim here but Melanie. I would have loved to see this story be about cousins who were dating the same man and only one of them knew about it. Or maybe they both had no idea. Just anything. But this storyline was written in poor taste. And it's safe for me to say that I probably won't be buying anymore books by this author. This just didn't make the cut for me.
